An LVC volunteer is placed in a full-time position at one of our placement sites. There are various positions related to each non-profit, and our volunteers assume the roles and responsibilities of the position for which they are hired.

Community Need Addressed
Lutheran Volunteer Corps places volunteers (paid with a stipend) in non-profits and other organizations that address social justice issues. The work of each volunteer is important in addressing varied social justice issues in five cities. The passion and commitment of the LVC volunteers have been recognized by our partners!
Position Outcomes
The bottom line is that each volunteer will make an impact on their cities not only by working for amazing partners of LVC but also by living in an intentional community, living simply and sustainably, working for justice in their respective cities, and exploring spirituality and personal discernment.
