Upward Bound and Talent Search at Montana State University Billings is a free program that helps high school students prepare for their future after high school through meeting with an Outreach Advisor and attending a Summer Institute. The goal is to give every participant an opportunity to further their education after high school and earn a 2 or 4 year college degree.

Service Activities

As an AmeriCorps member, you will establish effective methods of student recruitment, outreach, and participation, and provide mentorship and coaching to low-income or first generation students through civic engagement, academic mentoring, and daily activities.

Community Need Addressed

To increase postsecondary attainment, college access preparation in addition academic mentoring are needed.
