About Us
Rebuilding Together is a housing nonprofit with affiliates serving communities across the country. Together, we transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing our communities. Rebuilding Together provides low-income homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficient upgrades. On average, our homeowners live at or below the poverty level and are forced to choose between food, medicine and shelter needs. We provide these critical home repairs at no cost to qualified homeowners. Rebuilding Together is often the last resort to preserving their homeownership – their only personal asset.
Our Impact
9 in 10 homeowners who received repairs anticipate they can safely live in their homes over the next decade and beyond.
Homeowners on our waitlist were nearly twice as likely to fall 3 or more times than homeowners who received critical repairs.
Homeowners that received repairs are also nearly three times more likely to be able to
comfortably afford to age in place, compared to homeowners on the waitlist.
