Systems and Resources Development: Diagnose, design, and implement scalable systems for knowledge management and best practices for the Operations and/or Community Engagement teams

Strategy Analysis: Research, execute, and document best practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness of tutor and staff onboarding.

Service Activities

Our VISTAs day-to-day will include participating in and facilitating meetings with regions and other national departments to facilitate best practice sharing and resource sharing, in addition to diving into our data to reflect on lessons learned and providing suggestions for organizational improvement. Our VISTAs strictly follow their VAD (VISTA Assignment Description), which can be discussed in detail during your interview process!

Community Need Addressed

The Reading Partners VISTA help (1) ensure our national and regional efforts to recruit volunteers are effective, because without successful engagement efforts our thousands of students would not receive the necessary tutoring! And (2) to better support operational and systems health, to implement national initiatives, ultimately allowing us to serve more students across the nation.

Position Outcomes

The VISTA will develop and document new/improved systems, best practices, and tools for to support the growth and quality our systems.
