The Arkansas Farm to School Program Coordinator (ARF2S Program Coordinator) will spend their year of service coordinating and growing Arkansas Farm to School. They will build capacity and increase Arkansas Farm to School’s ability to serve its stakeholders in improving the health and wellness of kids, families and communities through a more equitable food system.

Service Activities

• Facilitate the Arkansas Farm to School Network
• Develop and disseminate resources and tools
• Deliver training and technical assistance
• Plan, organize, and implement a statewide farm to school conference
• Develop and execute fundraising and evaluation plans
• Manage community outreach
• Manage Arkansas Farm to School’s communications and online presence (social media, website, newsletters, etc.)

Community Need Addressed

This position will grow the Arkansas Farm to School Network which will provide families with more access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Position Outcomes

This service will result in increased knowledge of and participation in farm to school practices.
