Description

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) AmeriCorps In-Home Respite Caseworkers provide respite services in the family’s home/community to children/adults/elderly who are developmentally, physically, and/or mentally challenged. Will be responsible for providing daily care to participants according to specific training and participants’ individualized care needs, including bathing, feeding, nurturing, and implementing activities that encourage recreation, socialization, and independence.

CAP AmeriCorps members also have the opportunity to participate in CAP's Volunteer Program. CAP Volunteers commit to direct Service, intentional Community, and Spirituality. In addition to their service, most CAP volunteers share in dinner and devotion several nights a week.

Living Allowance

$340 - $1354 monthly

Additional Benefits

All food and housing is provided for members who choose to live in a CAP volunteer community house. The living allowance is $170 bi-weekly for members who live in community and $677 bi-weekly for members who choose to live on their own.
