Trinity Service Corps

Episcopal Service Corps
No listings recruiting at this time

Trinity Service Corps members live in community at St. Benedict’s House, a stately home in midtown Indianapolis on the campus of Trinity Episcopal Church. In a typical week, corps members will serve 32 hours a week in their placement sites and end their work days with sharing, reflection and regular patterns of prayer. Corps members will create a “rule of life” and then share in responsibilities around the house, such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping. Fridays will be designated for individual and group formation and discernment, with two retreats planned throughout the year. Each corps member will receive regular spiritual direction as well as mentoring by either ordained or lay leaders in our community.

Service Activities

A broad range of activities in a variety of non-profit organizations. Examples of activities that corps members would complete on a day to day basis might include (but certainly are not limited to) volunteer coordination, program development and implementation, and community organizing.

Community Need Addressed

Our positions assist the non-profits that we work with in providing a wider range of services than they would be able to normally. Our corps members help support organizations that address community needs such as poverty, homelessness, education, health care, and LGBTQIA+ health.

Position Outcomes

Corps members finish a year at Trinity Service Corps with a broader understanding of social justice issues, a stronger sense of purpose, practical tools for the future, and a deepened faith. Our placement sites will increase a corps member's capacity to address needs such as community and non-profit development, education, poverty, and health care.
