Description
Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies is dedicated to researching environmental issues including the impacts of climate change, freshwater and forest health, infectious diseases and urban ecology.
Through this placement, Fellows will focus on research, conservation, community education and communications. Exact activities will depend on the individual Fellow’s interests and needs of the organization. Background in environmental or earth science or biology helpful.
Grace Year is a yearlong, residential fellowship program in the Hudson Valley for recent college graduates. Each year, 5 or 6 fellows are invited to Millbrook, New York to live in to live, learn, and work together for one year.
While they are here, fellows explore the pillars of spirituality, intentional community, and vocational discernment. They do this through praxis — or a cycle of action and reflection based practices. The goal of all these practices is to give fellows a year to dive deep into questions about how they would like to live their lives, relate to others, and contribute to the world.
Grace Year is affiliated with Episcopal Service Corps, a network of 17 programs across the U.S. offering residential service year programs. ESC has a common application, which allows each applicant to discern which program is the best fit. We hope it will be Grace Year!
