Description

Literacy AmeriCorps will recruit 40 members who will be trained and placed with schools, libraries and nonprofit organizations to tutor and mentor children, youth and adults. The members meet with AmeriCorps program staff multiple times a month for ongoing professional development. Additionally, the team engage in meaningful community service projects together to address various needs in Palm Beach County. Part-time and full-time hours available; members serving in a full-time capacity are eligible for health benefits. Stipend amount and education award depend on slot-type.

Additional Benefits

Benefits vary based on slot type filled. Members serving in a full-time capacity are eligible for fully paid health benefits. All service members are eligible to apply for SNAP benefits and have access to 24/7 mental health services. Our program also includes professional development training, opportunities to network within the community with like-minded individuals and more. Members who complete a successful term of service in our program are invited to continue in the program for the next term of service.
