Description

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) AmeriCorps Thrift Store Associates sort donations, steam clothing, help keep the store clean and organized, and perform retail functions. Our thrift store provides low-income families with access to affordable clothing and household items in an environment that respects their dignity and agency.

CAP AmeriCorps members also have the opportunity to participate in CAP's Volunteer Program. CAP Volunteers commit to direct Service, intentional Community, and Spirituality. In addition to their service, most CAP volunteers share in dinner and devotion several nights a week.

Living Allowance

$340 - $1354 monthly

Education award upon successful completion of service, Health coverage, Housing, Living allowance, Relocation allowance (if applicable), Stipend, Student loan forbearance, Training

Additional Benefits

All food and housing is provided for members who choose to live in a CAP volunteer community house. Living allowance is $170 bi-weekly for members who live in community and $677 bi-weekly for members who choose to live on their own.
